STAMPEDE TALENT SEARCH

Boyce Theatre

July 9 to 17 (No show on July 14)

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Stampede Talent Search Contest.  Join us as we celebrate this memorable occasion by showcasing some of our past winners along with the rising stars of today!  This event has often been the first to direct the spotlight on impressive rising talent. Paul Brandt, members of The EarthTONES and Jaydee Bixby are only a few of the many performers who began their show business career in the Talent Search. This year, 70 amateur youth performers (aged 13 to 21) from across southern Alberta will demonstrate their singing, dancing, acting and musical talents as they compete for cash prizes. Open auditions were held earlier this year and successful candidates were invited to compete during the Calgary Stampede. In addition to the competing seniors program, talented junior performers (aged six to 12) will be featured each night.
