First and most importantly, we want to convey our thoughts and prayers to the people and families affected by tonight’s incident at the Stampede Midway. 

At 8:30 p.m. tonight there was an incident on one of the rides.  We have been working closely tonight with the City’s emergency response teams to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety of those affected by this incident. 

We know that 10 people were injured.  Six individuals have been transported to hospital, we don’t know the extent of those injuries but we are hoping everyone is okay. Four people were treated for injuries at the scene and released.

The next stage is work with provincial safety officials and North American Midway Entertainment to determine the cause of the incident.
