Bell Centennial Plaza announces 2012 Line Up

Calgary – In honour of this year’s Centennial theme, We’re Greatest Together, the Calgary Stampede is pleased to introduce a brand new entertainment venue – Bell Centennial Plaza. Located in the centre of Stampede Park, the Plaza is an ideal location to gather, celebrate and create memories throughout the Centennial Stampede, July 6-15.

“The Calgary Stampede is one of Canada’s biggest and best music festivals,” says Jim Laurendeau, director, Programming, Calgary Stampede. “This year we’ll be bring some of the most talented performers from other festivals in Calgary and around the world and presenting them on the all-new Bell Centennial Plaza.”

In addition to these amazing performers, the Bell Centennial Plaza will feature entertainment from 11 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. including daily performances by: Austalia’s finest illusionists Adam and Selena, Recycled Percussion which mixes bucket drumming with power tools or anything else that the band can get their sticks on, and back by popular demand, Trampoline Wall where three acrobats take trampoline to new heights. Bell Centennial Plaza also features a daily First Nations performance at 11:45 a.m.

To top it off, the new entertainment venue offers a nightly celebration beginning at 11p.m. Visitors will be able to watch and listen to the spectacular fireworks display in the comfort of the Bell Centennial Plaza.
