Calgary – In partnership with 19 to Zero, the Calgary Stampede is introducing 2 Ways 2 Two Step at Nashville North for Stampede 2021. Always the heart of Stampede nightlife, Nashville North is welcoming back the best country music. This can’t-miss 18+ Stampede experience is our community’s first return to live music experiences, and as such, a pre-qualification process has been put in place for the assurance and comfort of our guests. Starting on Thursday, July 8, anyone looking to participate in the Nashville North experience will be asked to show proof of vaccine (at least one vaccination two weeks prior), or complete a quick onsite rapid test for COVID-19.
“Ensuring the safety of Calgary Stampede participants is a top priority. To this end, 19 To Zero will be partnering with the Calgary Stampede to implement a proof of vaccination/rapid testing program for all who visit Nashville North. This is in addition to work both organizations have done in collaboration to promote vaccine uptake which is the single best protection against COVID-19,” Says Dr. Jia Hu, partner of 19 to Zero and Calgary Stampede advisor.
While rapid testing doesn’t take long, sharing proof of vaccination is your quickest step to two stepping the night away. All you need to do is show a physical copy or photo of your vaccination record. The Alberta Health MyHealth App is another option.
“We are thrilled to see live music return to our city for Stampede 2021. As we join the communities around the world that are returning to live entertainment events, this simple process provides an extra level of comfort specifically for Nashville North,” says the Calgary Stampede’s Vice President responsible for programming and operations, Jim Laurendeau “It is just one of many safety protocols and aligned with our commitment to meet and exceed all public health guidelines.”
As with all Calgary Stampede safety protocols, we will be monitor and evaluate this program daily for effectiveness. Nashville North will also operate with additional safety precautions, including a new look and location. The world-class live country music venue has been adjusted to a canopy-style venue and will be located at the heart of Stampede Park next to the Stampede Grandstand. Also new for Stampede 2021 will be digital queuing.
“Digital queuing prevents the need to physically stand in line. You can head out and enjoy everything else Stampede Park has to offer,” says Laurendeau, adding, “When it’s your turn to enter, you will receive a notification. It’s just that easy.”
