The space includes paintball, dueling climbing walls and axe-throwing and is located in South Park, just inside the main Calgary Stampede Erlton entrance. What’s happening today
Suncor Family Day: Free park admission (6 a.m. – 9 a.m.) and pancake breakfast (7 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.)
Coca-Cola Stage performer: Classified (9 p.m.)
Nashville North performer: Aaron Pritchett (10 p.m.)
World Stock Dog Championships – One dog, three sheep, four minutes. These amazingly agile and intelligent dogs work to move three sheep through a challenging obstacle course and into a pen in less than four minutes. Competition runs from 9 am to 1:30 pm, with the finals at 5:00 pm.
Vintage Tractors – For those interested in nostalgia, be sure to check out the vintage tractors that arrive on park today. These restored tractors, built in 1960 or earlier, will compete by pulling a weighted sled in six different weight classes beginning at 7 pm in the Scotiabank Saddledome.
The tractors can be viewed in Country Lane beginning at 1 pm for the Show and Shine.
World Champion Six Horse Hitch Competition with Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra – This magical display of grace and musicality cannot be missed. Six beautiful heavy horses march in unison to classical music performed by Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. A must see event.
The show begins at 11 am in the Scotiabank Saddledome.
