Working Cow Horse Classic – With a purse of $25,000 competitors are in fierce competition vying for the championship title that kicks off today. There is sliding stops, 360 degree spins, figure eights and not to forget the cow work. The horse and rider duo work in unison to create a fast and smooth run in order to crown them as the champions of the Calgary Stampede. Competition begins on Thursday with the finals kicking off Friday at 1pm in the Agrium Western Event Centre.
Heavy Horse Pull Auction – Local organizations get into bidding wars to have their branding presented by true horse power in the Heavy Horse Pull Competition. This lively auction gets geared up at 7:00 p.m. in the Agrium Western Event Centre.
