Kick off the Calgary Stampede with Corb Lund and the Budweiser Big Ticket

Calgary – New this year, the Calgary Stampede is thrilled to host Budweiser Big Ticket, the official kickoff party to the Calgary Stampede on Thursday, July 2.

Beginning at 4 p.m., lucky Labatt contest winners will get the party started early when Stampede Park becomes their playground and they are the first to experience the all-new Bud Light Zone an hour before it opens to the general public at 5 p.m.

Bigger and better for 2015, the Bud Light Zone is the newly expanded adult play zone at the south end of Stampede Park. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy a cold beverage while overlooking the Elbow River. With more than double the capacity, patios, grass areas, an X92.9 radio feed and enhanced seating areas, the Bud Light Zone brings a whole new level of experience to Stampede Park guests, 18 and over.

At 6 p.m., all Park guests can head over to Calgary’s premiere country music venue, Nashville North, for the best ‘kickoff’ party in town featuring Ridley Bent and headliner Corb Lund.

For the past 10 years, Budweiser has hosted premiere events at Nashville North. Budweiser Big Ticket is open to the public 18 and over, and Labatt contest winners can gain exclusive VIP access and first entry into Nashville North starting at 5 p.m. (subject to Nashville North capacity). Advanced entry passes to this party are won through Labatt via in-market contesting or via the Calgary Sun contest starting June 23.

New this year, Nashville North has increased its capacity, added an outdoor patio and created the Stoli Lounge. A semi-private area inside Nashville North, the Stoli Lounge can host groups of 20-100 guests, with a direct view of the stage. This exclusive tent can be configured into one to four individual suites, and includes free Stampede Park gate admissions, exclusive entry to Nashville North via a dedicated VIP entrance, full service bar with a dedicated hostess, 30 universal drink vouchers and private executive washrooms.
