Calgary – The excitement is building with the finalists now selected in the 2018 Calgary Stampede Queen & Princess competition. Meet the six talented young women vying for the title tomorrow, Wednesday, September 20, during a special interview and photo opportunity as they are outfitted in some winning western wear.
To help prepare them for the final portion of the intense, month-long contest, the prospective 2018 Calgary Stampede Queen & Princesses will be fitted for their iconic white cowboy hats at Smithbilt Hats, and stylish new outfits at Lammle’s Western Wear and Tack.
The 2018 competition will culminate in the crowning of a Queen and two Princesses on the evening of Monday, September 25, 2017, in the Agrium Western Event Centre. The winners must possess a wide range of skills, from public speaking to horsemanship. Throughout their reign, the Royal Trio will make more than 400 appearances as ambassadors of the Stampede, promoting western heritage and values in Calgary and around the world.
