Calgary – On Monday, July 8, Nik Wallenda will be attempting his World Record Calgary Stampede High Wire Walk across the Midway, starting at the Kids Midway crane and ending by the Rotary Dream Home.
Please be advised Wallenda will officially begin walking at 7 p.m. with a media scrum immediately following the completion of his walk, approximately between 7:30 - 8 p.m.Wallenda will be escorted to the Thrill Zone where he will be presented with the 2019 Calgary Stampede buckle. Following the presentation, Wallenda will address the media.
There will be roof-top locations available for media coverage of the event at the Corral, Nutrien Building and Big Four Roadhouse. Please send your requests to Lahia Girbik (lgirbik@calgarystampede.com) by 4:30 p.m. as last minute requests will be difficult to facilitate for safety purposes.
