Calgary – The 2017 Calgary Stampede Talent Search live auditions have returned and will be held in the Boyce Theatre at Stampede Park, Friday, May 5 – Sunday, May 7, 2017. Young performers 6 – 21 years of age will sing, dance, and perform for a chance to shine in the spotlight at the 2017 Stampede Talent Search.
Performers are required to register online before the live auditions. After auditions, the top entertainers will be chosen to advance to the Stampede Week competition based on execution, stage presence, creativity and overall performance during the auditions. Performers who are unable to attend the live audition dates can audition by video and submit online by Friday, May 5, 2017.
Performers 6 – 12 years of age will compete for a spot in the Stampede Week competition and development opportunities. Performers 13 – 21 years of age will compete for a spot in the Stampede Week competition, the chance to win the Grand Prize of $10,000 cash, a one-of-a-kind belt buckle, and a customized performer development package.
Performers also have a chance to be selected for the $2,000 “Don Welden Award”, given to the performer who demonstrates talent, a positive attitude, professionalism, support of other performers, and support of the Stampede Talent Search.

Saturday, May 6, 2017, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday, May 7, 2017, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
WHERE: Boyce Theatre, Stampede Park, Calgary
Celebrating its 37 year, the Stampede Talent Search is calling all young performers 6-21 years of age Canada-wide hoping to be discovered. Performances during the Calgary Stampede run nightly from July 7 – 16, 2017. Performers will be judged by industry professionals to determine a Grand Prize winner.
