PSA - Historic OH Ranch opens to the public for Alberta Open Farm Days
Calgary – Don’t miss your chance to visit the Calgary Stampede’s historic OH Ranch as it opens to the public on August 17 as part of the province-wide 2019 Alberta Open Farm Days.
A working ranch for more than 135 years, the 8,000 acre property is located on the Highwood River, west of Longview. Guests will learn about the history of the ranch and how the Calgary Stampede is committed to preserving and protecting this important part of our Province’s western heritage, while maintaining a working cattle ranch.

- Ranch tours – learn about sustainable ranching practices, range management, low stress cattle management and the Verified Beef Program
- History tours – Visit the Ings Cabin, cookhouse and North West Mounted Police cabin
- Kids activities – Rope making, roping and riding games
- Livestock viewing – see the cows, calves and saddle horses of the OH Ranch
