Calgary – The Calgary Stampede Showband will be performing their 2017 show, Mosaic, this upcoming weekend at the Showbands LIVE! competition. Music lovers are invited to come together at McMahon Stadium to see the Calgary Stampede Showbands’ Mosaic, along with marching bands from across Alberta as they go head to head in the ultimate battle of the bands.

Mosaic is a special collaboration between the Calgary Stampede Showband and the Calgary Stampede Indian Events Committee, and has been designed in collaboration with local historians and Indigenous leaders. The performance features Indigenous youth drummers, singers, and dancers who will wear their own regalia during performances, as a larger part of the Showband. The production incorporates the past, present, and future of Canada and its people, exploring themes of purity, conflict, reconciliation, diversity and inclusion.
