The ENMAX Corral Show presents Cirque Éloize iD: Stampede Edition
Calgary – Get ready to be amazed! The circus is coming to the Corral for the 2015 Calgary Stampede. This year’s ENMAX Corral Show presents Cirque Éloize iD: Stampede Edition. Combining circus disciplines, urban dance and breakthrough technology, this 40-minute high-energy production will engage audiences of all ages.
“We are extremely excited to be bringing Cirque Éloize’s creativity to the Calgary Stampede this year,” says Karen Connellan, director of programming, Calgary Stampede. “Cirque Éloize has created a special version of its critically acclaimed production iD especially for the Calgary Stampede.”
Cirque Éloize has been creating moving performances filled with magic since 1993. Continually striving for artistic perfection, it is one of the leaders in contemporary circus arts. Based on the multidisciplinary talents of its artists, Cirque Éloize expresses its innovative nature through theatricality and humanity, and combines circus arts with music, dance and theatre in a breathtaking and original manner. The decidedly rock, electronic and poetic music, coupled with the presence of video, highlight the show’s playful, energetic, youthful and urban aspects.
“ENMAX is a long-time supporter of The Calgary Stampede and has proudly brought the popular Corral Show to visitors since 2011,” said Stacy Chambers, manager of Community Investment and Sponsorship, ENMAX. “We look forward to seeing Calgarians and visitors alike enjoying the talents of the Cirque Éloize team – the 2015 Corral show will be the best yet!. We also look forward to the development of Stampede Park, a tremendous community gathering place in 2016.” ENMAX is a long-time partner of the Calgary Stampede and is supporting ENMAX Park, which will open to the public for full programming in 2016.
The show runs daily at Stampede Corral and is free with Stampede gate admission. Show times are 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. daily (with special showings at 10 a.m. on July 5 and 8). This year’s Stampede is July 3-12, 2015. For more information please visit calgarystampede.com.
