The 2024 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show will take audiences on a spectacular journey with hit music, jaw-dropping stunts, illuminating displays, high-energy performances, and new partnerships.

Every evening from July 5-14, GMC Stadium will come alive with nightly performances by the Hunter Brothers, song and dance from The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede, and special guest appearances by Tammy Firefly, The Urias Globe of Death Daredevils, Boston Dynamics and more.

“You won’t see a show like this anywhere else,” says Angela Benson, Creative Director and Choreographer of the Grandstand Show. “This made-in-Calgary show features Calgary’s artistic talent and world-class stunts and performances. It has rock, grit, country, and nostalgia that will challenge us all to live life in the fast lane. We can’t wait to take audiences on a trip of dust and dazzle that you can only see at this year’s Calgary Stampede.”

Country supergroup, Hunter Brothers will headline the show. With more than 86 million streams and 33 million YouTube views to date, J.J, Dusty, Luke, Brock, and Ty will have guests on their feet, clapping along to the beat. Showcasing their dance-ready anthem Burnin’ Down The Barn the Hunter Brothers incredible theatrics, vocals and stage presence will burn up the stage.

"Growing up in Western Canada, the Stampede has always been such an iconic event for us. To have the opportunity to close out and headline the Grandstand Show is surreal for us,” said the Hunter Brothers. “We’re just a couple of prairie boys who grew up on the farm, so hitting a stage of this magnitude is something we don’t take for granted and will never forget. We are beyond excited to share in this unforgettable show with everyone. Get ready for all the bells and whistles, because we’re throwing them all your way with what we have planned. It’s going to be a celebration to remember. We can’t wait to see you there!"

Last year the Stampede broke a world record for most pancakes served and this year The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is aiming to have the biggest line dance in Western Canada when the Hunter Brothers team up with The Young Canadians for an encore performance of the classic song Footloose.

Every year the Grandstand Show delivers an audio-visual masterpiece consisting of special effects and pyrotechnics, but this year takes it to the next level with a human firework lighting up the stage. Tammy Firefly is an innovative fire and aerial performance artist who will mesmerize guests with her fierce strength and jaw-dropping moves, while the Grandstand Band lights the stage on fire. Next, The Urias Globe Of Death Daredevils will take center stage and put audiences in the center of the action with cameras placed inside the globe. Guests will feel like they’re riding right along with this family of globe riders. If that wasn’t enough, the show promises exhilarating surprises, including dancing robots from Boston Dynamics that you have to see to believe.

The Calgary Stampede is also marking a milestone this year as GMC Stadium turns 50. To celebrate the anniversary and partnership, GMC is now a sponsor of the Grandstand Show. They’re joined by Wrangler, Rocky Mountain Equipment, and Lammle’s who each have a special connection to the show.

“We are proud to be part of the Grandstand Show and the celebration of Western heritage and community spirit that is shared with people from across the city and around the world during the Stampede,” says Daniella D'Souza, Brand Director for GMC. “Our partnership reflects the joint commitment GMC and Stampede have in celebrating the rich history of Alberta and for the exciting future of the Calgary Stampede as we look towards the next 50 years.”
