The 2025 Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show is set to be a blazing spectacle for 10 unforgettable nights from July 4 to 13. This year, the Stampede proudly welcomes Freedom Mobile as the new presenting sponsor of the Grandstand Show, marking the beginning of a long-term partnership in the most spectacular way possible. Headlining the show is Alberta’s own Carolyn Dawn Johnson, whose powerhouse voice and heartfelt lyrics have earned her 17 Canadian Country Music Awards and international acclaim.

"We are extremely proud to announce this partnership with the Calgary Stampede, which further strengthens Freedom Mobile's growing presence in Alberta," said Pierre Karl Péladeau, President and CEO of Freedom Mobile. "The Grandstand Show is an iconic celebration that brings communities together through unforgettable entertainment. We share the Stampede's vision of delivering exceptional experiences, and through this partnership, we are demonstrating our commitment to being an active contributor to the vibrant community life where our customers live, work and play."

With its investment in the Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show, Freedom Mobile also joins the Stampede’s valued Champion-level sponsors, committing to support the growth and future of one of Canada’s most beloved cultural celebrations.

“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Freedom Mobile into the Stampede family,” says Theresa Howland, Executive Vice-President, Brand, Market Development & Employee Services, Calgary Stampede. “This partnership represents a shared commitment to celebrating Western heritage and building community through unforgettable experiences.”

The 2025 Grandstand Show presented by Freedom Mobile is inspired by the glamour and high-energy performances of the Grand Ole Opry, bringing elevated country flare to the Stampede’s legendary stage and is packed with awe-inspiring performances and jaw-dropping stunts, including:

  • Keith Sayers Freestyle Motocross defying gravity with every jump
  • Illya Strakhov’s precision-defying bottle balance act, as seen on America’s Got Talent
  • Vladyslav Tsarov – The Man of Steel, soaring high above the stage
  • And a high-octane, pyrotechnic spectacle by LEGIÓN, The Gauchos of Fire, straight from their Golden Buzzer-winning performance on America’s Got Talent

“Returning home to perform on the iconic Grandstand Stage is a dream come true,” says headliner Johnson, known for hits like Georgia, Die of a Broken Heart and Complicated. “The Calgary Stampede is such a special part of my roots, and I can't wait to share this experience with everyone.”

Of course, no Grandstand Show would be complete without the Young Canadians and the Grandstand Band delivering show-stopping vocals, choreography and iconic performances. To close out the night, a mesmerizing new drone show and Stampede’s signature fireworks finale will light up the Calgary sky like never before.

“The Calgary Stampede Grandstand Show is a one-of-a-kind experience, blending world-class entertainment with the energy and spirit of Stampede,” says Angela Benson, Creative Director & Choreographer, Grandstand Show, Calgary Stampede. “This year’s show features a spectacular mix of performances that you’ll never see together again. With only 10 nights to experience it, each evening is a once-in-a-lifetime event with something for everyone. This show is authentically For Calgary. Forever.”
