Calgary, AB – As announced earlier this week, AEW will debut a new tentpole series, “AEW: Collision” on Saturday, June 17. This live, two-hour, in-ring show will air every Saturday night and will feature more wrestlers, more stories and more action to super-serve fans. “AEW: Collision” will feature headliners including Miro, Samoa Joe, Thunder Rosa, Powerhouse Hobbs, and Andrade El Idolo.

AEW will bring “AEW: Collision” to Calgary on Saturday, July 15 for an extra special night of professional wrestling under the historic Saddledome Lights. Initially announced as an “AEW: House Rules” show, the company announced that “AEW: Collision” will headline the July 15 event, which will be broadcast live.

The July 15 event will pay homage to hometown hero, the late Owen Hart, with the finals of the “Owen Hart Foundation Tournament” taking place in the Saddledome. Opening ceremonies for the tournament will take place at the “AEW: Double or Nothing” pay-per-view event in Las Vegas on Sunday, May 28.

“With Calgary’s rich wrestling heritage, we wanted AEW’s debut to be epic in scale, and there’s no better venue than the iconic Saddledome at the Calgary Stampede,” said Tony Khan, CEO, GM and Head of Creative of AEW. “There’s also no better city than Calgary to pay homage to hometown legend Owen Hart and to host the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation tournament. It’s been a privilege working with Dr. Martha Hart and her family on this incredible tournament, and we can’t wait for fans to witness a historic night of wrestling on July 15.”

“Concluding AEW’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at the Saddledome during Stampede Week in front of a live international crowd will be an absolutely epic occasion that should not be missed by anyone,” said Dr. Martha Hart, Founder and Director of the Owen Hart Foundation. “Given that the Owen Hart Foundation is a homegrown staple charity in this region and the birthplace of my late husband Owen Hart, what could be better than having the finals right in our own backyard during our city’s most renowned worldclass signature event - the one-and-only Calgary Stampede!”

The announcement means people worldwide will be able to experience a part of “The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth” from their living rooms, but the best seats in the house are inside the Saddledome.

“We are thrilled to host this exciting new event,” said Adam Oppenheim, President, Stampede Entertainment Inc. “Not only does ’AEW: Collision’ feature top talent and an immersive experience for fans, it also connects our audience to Calgary’s rich professional wrestling history through its partnership with the Owen Hart Foundation. July 15 will be an unforgettable night for fans of all ages.”

Tickets for this one night only event are available at CalgaryStampede.com/tickets, AEWTIX.com, by phone, or in-person at Ticketmaster. Prices start at $36.75, plus applicable fees and taxes and include admission to the Calgary Stampede on the day of the event. Venue doors open at 4 p.m. and “AEW: Collision” will begin at 5 p.m.
