It’s time to tickle your taste buds – the new Stampede Midway Food has been announced for 2025! From daring eats to twists on traditional favourites, there are more than 50 new Midway foods bursting with exciting flavours for everyone to explore from July 4-13, 2025 at Stampede Park.

”Our exhibitors spend months curating unexpected dishes that you won’t find anywhere else but at the Calgary Stampede Midway,” says Ashley Warner, Midway Manager at the Calgary Stampede. “The goal is to surprise, delight and satisfy every kind of craving with an unforgettable Stampede twist.”

This year’s new food lineup is all about big flavour and bold creativity, featuring themes of global bites, foodie’s playground, traditional twists and more from over 70 food exhibitors lining the Midway. From Fiery Dill Coke and Freaky Tzatziki Twisted Pickles to Mopane Worm Poutine and the crispy-shelled Ramenrito, these daring dishes push the limits while reflecting the diverse tastes of all Stampede visitors.

For those looking to cool off between bites, refreshing new drinks like the tropical Lava Flow Lemonade and the zany Crocodile-Aid Buckets promise to quench your thirst in true Stampede style. Soft serve lovers won’t be left out, with the traditional but innovative Cowboy Candy Mango Soft Serve combining sweet and spicy in each mouthful.

If wild flavours aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to be excited about with classic favourites getting a glow-up, featuring delicious new additions like the Nashville Hot Chicken Mac, Lobster Tornado Roll, and gooey Deep-Fried Cinnamon Buns.

Stampede Insiders were once again invited to share their wildest and most imaginative names for one of the Midway’s exciting new food creations! The challenge - name The Dumping Hero’s exclusive Stampede dish—a mouthwatering bao bun inspired by a beloved Hawaiian snack, filled with savoury spam, juicy garlic shrimp, sweet pineapple, fresh cucumbers, seaweed and drizzled with teriyaki sauce. With over 1800 entries pouring in from the community, the winning name “Spam-pede Bao” captures the perfect fusion of the Stampede spirit and the beloved Hawaiian savoury treat!

“This year, we are thrilled to introduce a touch of Oahu to the Calgary Stampede Midway with our Asian fusion and Hawaiian staple creation,” says Tracy Cheng, Co-Owner/Founder of The Dumpling Hero. “We are excited to transport you to the beach with a taste of Hawaii through the Spam-pede Bao, exclusively at the 2025 Stampede.”
