Following a close competition between seven contestants vying for the role, the Calgary Stampede is pleased to announce Breanna Correia as the 2025 Calgary Stampede Princess!
“The calibre of this year’s competitors was outstanding. The young ladies who put themselves forward in the competition for the ambassadorship are accomplished women who are already leaders in their communities,” says Janelle Fortmuller, Chair, Calgary Stampede Royalty Committee. “The Royalty Committee is proud to have Breanna crowned as the 2025 Calgary Stampede Princess. She shone in her horsemanship, public speaking, and interpersonal skills, making an impact on our judges and the Stampede community alike. Breanna demonstrated a strong understanding of the role and the Stampede organization throughout the competition. The Royalty Committee is excited to see her personal and professional development over the year. We know she will thrive in the honoured role of ambassador of the Calgary Stampede.”
Breanna is a 23-year-old communications student at Mount Royal University in her hometown of Calgary. Her passion for agriculture began at the age of nine when she joined her local 4-H club. Today, she balances her studies with coaching multiple local 4-H clubs and spending as much time outside as possible.
As an aspiring professional communicator, Breanna is passionate about connecting with people and the art of storytelling, particularly through visual media. Growing up in Calgary, she has always held a special connection to the Calgary Stampede and is thrilled to share her passion with others.
Breanna will act as ambassador of the Calgary Stampede alongside the 2025 First Nations Princess, who will be crowned at a private event on Sunday, Nov. 17. With their reigns officially starting on January 1, 2025, through to December 31, 2025, the Princesses will take the reins from 2024 Stampede Princess, Brooke Fielding and 2024 First Nations Princess, Margaret Holloway.
Together, Breanna and the incoming 2025 First Nations Princess will attend hundreds of events over the course of 2025, including during The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth. In these roles, the Royalty not only serve their community by sharing and celebrating the Stampede’s Western heritage, cultures and community spirit, but also benefit from professional and personal development.
