New Midway Foods Hit Stampede 2026: From the Cheesy Saddle Slice to the Ramen Donut, Big Flavours Take Over the Midway

Calgary, AB (May 14, 2026) – The 2026 Calgary Stampede is serving up a brand-new lineup of more than 65 Midway foods guaranteed to make guests Yahoo! From outrageous deep-fried creations to bold flavour mashups and unexpected twists, this year’s Midway promises wild new ideas and bigger bites for guests to discover from July 3-12. 

With themes ranging from International Delights to Wild & Wacky and Traditional Twists, this year’s menu pushes taste buds to the limit with never-before-seen food creations. From the Cookies N Cream Korean Dog and the Coke Caesar to Crunchy Critter Corn in a Cup and the Ramen Donut, the Midway is packed with bold, buzzworthy bites. 

“Every year our exhibitors push the boundaries, spending months developing imaginative and unexpected dishes exclusive to the Midway,” says Ashley Warner, Midway Manager at the Calgary Stampede. “It’s about delivering outrageously bold, fun and irresistible creations that give guests new ways to experience the excitement, creativity and spirit of the Calgary Stampede.” 

For those looking to cool off between bites, refreshing new drinks like the Brazilian Whipped Limeade and the Big Buckin’ Lemonade promise to quench your thirst in true Stampede style. Soft serve lovers won’t be left out, with inventive creations like the Butter Drizzled Vanilla Soft Serve combining sweet and salty flavours in every mouthful. 

If wild flavours aren’t your thing, there’s still plenty to be excited about with classic favourites getting a glow-up, featuring delicious new additions like Triple Chocolate Mini Donuts, Korean BBQ Poutine and the Meatball Sub Corndog.  

Feeling a little nostalgic? Don’t fret, all your festival favourites can still be found on the Midway. From corn dogs and mini donuts to funnel cakes and freshly squeezed lemonade, there’s something for everyone.  

Presented by Uber Eats, the Midway Food Naming Contest challenged Stampede Insiders to come up with the craziest, wildest and most imaginative name for one of the Midway’s exciting new food creations — Pizza 73’s mouthwatering slice of cheese pizza dipped in corn dog batter dusted with Cheetos seasoning and deep-fried to golden perfection, topped with creamy garlic and your choice of pickles or pepperoni. With more than 1,900 entries submitted, the winning name “The Cheesy Saddle Slice” (aka The CS Slice) captures the perfect fusion of Stampede spirit and two beloved classics: pizza and anything deep-fried.

Because one visit may not be enough to tackle this year’s Midway menu, the Calgary Stampede SuperPass goes on sale Friday, May 15. For just $50 + fees and GST, guests get unlimited admission for all 10 days of Stampede, giving food lovers even more chances to sample the wild, sweet, spicy and deep-fried creations taking over the Midway.
