CALGARY, AB (Oct. 2, 2026) – The countdown to the 2027 Calgary Stampede has officially begun with a massive rock ’n’ roll announcement. Grammy Award-winning rock band Greta Van Fleet is bringing their legendary, high-octane live show to the Scotiabank Saddledome on Thursday, July 8, 2027, as part of the Stampede Concert Series presented by Uber Eats.

“This is just the beginning. As the first major concert announcement for Stampede 2027, we're excited to kick off the journey to next year's celebration,” said Meghan Kivisto, Vice-President, Sales, Marketing & Programming at the Calgary Stampede. “The Stampede continues to strengthen Calgary's reputation as The Greatest Music Festival in the West, bringing the entire city together through unforgettable experiences. This concert is the first of many exciting announcements to come. Stay tuned, because we're just getting started.”

The Stampede performance is part of Greta Van Fleet's 59-city Into The Beginning Tour, the band's 2027 North American and European headline run. The tour supports Palace for the People, the band's fourth studio album, arriving Friday, October 9, 2026. Led by singles "Play Your Games," "Saw You Stand," and "Tear It Down," the record explores themes of humanity, connection, resilience, and transcendence, and marks the group's boldest artistic statement yet. Calgary audiences can expect a full-throttle setlist that blends these new tracks with the band's catalog of rock anthems.

Originally formed in Frankenmuth, Michigan, Greta Van Fleet features brothers Josh Kiszka (vocals), Jake Kiszka (guitar), and Sam Kiszka (bass/keyboards), alongside drummer Danny Wagner. Renowned for their raw, brawny sound and Josh Kiszka’s spectacular, soaring vocal register, the group shot to global prominence when their debut single, "Highway Tune," topped the charts for four consecutive weeks. They have since gone on to sell over 3.5 million records worldwide, perform on Saturday Night Live, and captured the 2019 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album for From the Fires.
