The Calgary Stampede is pleased to announce Holt Renfrew as the presenting sponsor of the 2025 Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience, returning to The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth this July 4-13 with new energy, new partners and the same celebrated commitment to wine, food and hospitality.

Back for its second year, the Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience welcomes guests to a sophisticated, speakeasy-style lounge on the third floor of the BMO Centre — a space designed to offer a relaxing escape from the excitement of the Midway. Guests can sip and savour the winning wines from the Stampede Cellar Showdown international wine competition while taking in live music, panoramic views of Stampede Park and stunning floral artistry by Fleurs de Villes.

“The Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience is a celebration of Canadian and international wine and is the culmination of the Stampede’s new year-round wine programming,” says Kristina Barnes, Director of Agriculture & Western Events at the Calgary Stampede. “Viticulture is more than just winemaking — it reflects our connection to the land, innovation in farming and the craftsmanship of producers. We’re proud to recognize its agricultural importance, and with Holt Renfrew’s generous support, we’re able to continue growing this experience into something truly special for our guests.

“As a proudly Canadian company, we’re thrilled to again partner with the Calgary Stampede to offer an experience that brings people together in Calgary through exceptional wine, thoughtful design and amazing experiences,” says Sebastian Picardo, President and CEO of Holt Renfrew. “This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting meaningful Canadian cultural experiences and celebrating excellence in every detail.”

The Stampede Cellar Champion Wine Experience will be open daily during the 2025 Calgary Stampede and offers a curated, comfortable space to explore the Champion wines of the season. Reservations open June 3rd at calgarystampede.com/stampedecellar.

Get a first taste of the 2025 Stampede Cellar experience at Stampede Cellar Uncorked, taking place Saturday, May 31 at the BMO Centre. This ticketed event offers an exclusive opportunity to explore wines from the upcoming Stampede Cellar Showdown—including the Grand Champion, CedarCreek Estate Winery’s 2021 Estate Chardonnay—paired with gourmet bites from over 30 of Calgary’s top restaurants. Each dish features at least one locally grown agricultural ingredient, highlighting the strength of Alberta’s agri-food industry. Guests can look forward to tastings from Calgary favourites like Salt & Brick, Alloy, Proof Cocktail Bar, Kama and many more.

“Stampede Cellar Uncorked is a way for us to honour the incredible work happening in Alberta’s food and beverage community — and to connect guests with the flavours and stories behind it,” says Will Trow, volunteer Chair of the Calgary Stampede Wine & Food Tasting Committee. “It’s a celebration of the people who grow, make and share what we eat and drink.”

Participating restaurants will also compete for the title of Stampede Cellar Uncorked Champion, with belt buckles awarded in five categories, including the People’s Choice Award.

Doors open to Stampede Cellar Uncorked at 7 p.m., with General Admission tickets available for $140, and VIP access — which includes early entry, premium lounge seating and exclusive offerings — available for $275. Prices do not include taxes and fees. Tickets are available exclusively online at calgarystampede.com/uncorked, while quantities last, up until the event begins.
