In October 2025, the third year of the Calgary Stampede’s OH Ranch Branded Beef Youth Ambassador Program kicked off at OH Ranch, where the 2025/26 class of Ambassadors gathered for the first time as part of Select-A-Steer Day.
For the 12 selected Youth Ambassadors ages 15-18, the event marked the start of a months-long experience, during which they’ll gain hands-on experience in cattle care and the business of beef production while they raise their OH steer at home.
The Agriculture and Western Events Media Committee made the road trip down to Longview, Alta., to document the day’s events — watch the video to learn more about this exciting milestone in the program!
