On Saturday, April 11, the third annual Stampede Cellar Uncorked will bring together more than 1,000 guests for an evening rooted in Alberta connections. Local chefs, wine producers and guests will gather in the BMO Centre on Stampede Park to share in a night shaped by the province’s agri-food industry.

More than 30 Alberta restaurants will serve gourmet bites crafted from locally produced ingredients. Each dish reflects a direct relationship with farmers and ranchers, highlighting the strength of Alberta’s agri-food community.

Deane House returns after earning last year’s Spirit of the West Innovation Award. Its birch-smoked barramundi featured ingredients sourced across Alberta, alongside herbs and greens harvested steps from its own kitchen. The team, led by Chef Jessica Stapley, continues to work closely with growers who prioritize responsible practices. Guests can expect refined, ingredient-driven bites that showcase Alberta produce at its peak, layered with thoughtful technique and care.

Tool Shed Brewing Company also returns, following a People’s Choice win for its hickory-smoked Alberta chicken dish served on Taber corn bread waffles. Its story, rooted in persistence and local innovation, reflects the broader spirit of Alberta’s culinary scene.

This year’s offering is sure to lean into that same approach, with rich, satisfying bites crafted from Alberta ingredients and a creative edge.

Guests will pair each bite with winning wine selections from this year’s Stampede Cellar Showdown International Wine Competition. The 2026 Grand Champion, Ricasoli Brolio Riserva Chianti Classico DOCG 2021, will be among those poured, showcasing a connection between local cuisine and international excellence.

“This event brings our community together,” says Melissa McKay, volunteer Chair of the Wine & Food Tasting Event Committee at the Calgary Stampede. “It celebrates the people, products and partnerships that shape Alberta’s food culture.”

Stampede Cellar Uncorked is part of a year-round initiative supporting Canada’s agri-food industry, giving producers a platform and guests a chance to experience it firsthand.
