This weekend, the Calgary Stampede will welcome 4-H youth from more than 35 clubs across Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan to gather at the at the Nutrien Western Event Centre on Stampede Park for the 27th annual 4-H Rodeo.
On Saturday, Sept. 21, these 4-H youths, aged nine to 20 years old, will expand their expertise and enhance their rodeo skills through a series of rodeo clinics taught by industry-leading experts.
These up-and-coming rodeo stars will then put their new skills to the test and compete in a variety of events, with the first competition, cow riding, taking place on Saturday night. The competitions will continue to heat up on Sunday, Sept. 22, including barrel racing, pole bending, breakaway roping and goat tying, among others.
Members of the media are invited to come and experience all the action and excitement inside the Nutrien Western Event Centre from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 22.
