Calgary – Stampede 2023 is just 10 days away and Stampede Park is being transformed to bring you The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth! From live music to agriculture performances and free family fun, there is a lot of ground to cover when you step onto Stampede Park. Don’t know where to start? There’s an app for that!

Whether you’re looking for what time The Dog Bowl presented by Voilà starts or where to get your hands on a Fruit Loop Funnel Cake, it can all be found on the 2023 Calgary Stampede app. The new app is the greatest way to plan your Stampede experience. With up to the minute show times and information, you can find familiar favourites and discover brand-new experiences, all on your phone.

“There is something for everyone at the Calgary Stampede and our new app is your digital tour guide to see, taste and experience everything The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth has to offer,” says Meghan Kivisto, Director of Marketing and Sponsorship at the Calgary Stampede. “From checking showtimes to buying rodeo tickets, our new app makes it easy to plan your day and personalize your experience, so you don’t miss a minute of the fun!”

The app is a partnership between the Calgary Stampede and Calgary software development company, Vog. Established in 2012 to provide local entrepreneurs and businesses with high quality, custom apps, Vog builds everything in-house to create an exceptional user experience. With a shared commitment to community, the two Calgary based organizations are proud to come together to provide Stampede goers with a 21st century way to see a show 111 years in the making.

“As a proud Calgary based organization, it was a privilege to work with the Calgary Stampede to bring this new mobile experience to life for Stampede goers,” said Vince O'Gorman, CEO of Vog. “The Calgary Stampede app is a great example of how organizations of all sizes, even those with a century of history, can leverage technology to better serve their customers.”

Inside the app, users will find a schedule of everything happening on Stampede Park that day. They can then use that list to create their own personalized calendar of can’t miss activities. If they don’t see what they’re looking for, there is also a search function. For example, if a user types the word ‘horse’ into the search bar at the top, a whole world of options will open underneath, complete with times and event locations.

The search function also includes categories, such as music, attractions, and agriculture & western events. If someone is in the mood to listen to a concert, but isn’t sure who is playing that day, all they have to do is tap music to find what’s available, where and at what time.

When people make their way to Stampede Park on July 7, they’ll notice the BMO Centre’s world-class expansion is well on its way to welcoming the world in 2024. While the doors to the expansion aren’t open yet, Stampede Park is! However, some attractions may be located in a different place than past years so the app includes a digital map to help users find their favourites.
