Applications to become the 2023 First Nations Princess and applications to become the 2023 Calgary Stampede Princess are now open!

These Calgary Stampede ambassadors serve a year-round term, promoting and representing the Stampede’s western heritage and values. They attend many events and deliver exceptional western experiences to engage our community in connecting with our brand. While working in tandem, the 2023 First Nations Princess and the 2023 Stampede Princess will best represent their programs respectively and collaborate jointly as Stampede Royalty.

The First Nations Princess contest will run from October 17 to November 27 to select a representative to share the traditions, languages and cultures of the Kainai, Piikani, Siksika, Tsuut’ina, Stoney Nakoda nations, along with the promotion of Elbow River Camp, presented by Enbridge, and the Calgary Stampede.

The 2023 Stampede Princess contest runs from October 12 to November 18, evaluating contestants’ skills in public speaking, horsemanship, interpersonal communication, and Calgary Stampede knowledge.

The reigns of the new Princesses begin on January 1, 2023, and end on December 31, 2023.
